Afternoon to close: The players of VfB Stuttgart were together with fans on the golf course in Oberrot on Wednesday. We have pictures.

International breaks always offer an opportunity for a little change from everyday league life. The pros from VfB Stuttgart used this on Wednesday afternoon to clear their heads at the Marhördt Golf Club in Oberrot. But it is not that there is no football at all: in the soccer football tournament, which is organized by the main sponsor of VfB, Mercedes-Benz-Bank, the objective is to knock the ball with your foot instead of the bat.

The players certainly have fun – and often prove themselves right. Among others, Dan-Axel Zagadou, the new signing, who put his strong left foot into the hole directly from a few meters. Here is the action in the video:

However, the pros are not among them: many VfB fans still play, who can apply for a starting place and also get to talk to the pros during the event. By the way, the best players at the end of the afternoon were assistant coach Michael Kammermeyer and goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow.

There is also former VfB goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand and Nico Kappel, gold medalist at the Paralympics 2016. In our photo gallery, we show the best scenes of the afternoon in Oberrot. Have fun clicking through.
