Casemiro is the last player Sevilla will want to see right now

Manchester United star Casemiro returns to the selection to face Sevilla – a team he knows well.

After a four game ban, casemiro is cleared to return for Manchester United in all competitions and he is expected to start in the Europa League this week.

United host Sevilla at Old Trafford in the quarter-final first leg and Casemiro will be raring to go and make up for lost time.

Sevilla won’t be pleased to see him. Casemiro has a formidable record against them during his time with Real Madrid.

Casemiro record v Seville

Casemiro has an excellent record against Sevilla during his time with Real Madrid, especially in recent seasons.

He has played 15 times against Sevilla, winning nine, drawing two, and losing four.

His four defeats came between 2015 and 2018. He is unbeaten in his last six matches against them, winning five and drawing one.

Casemiro highlight in Sevilla

One of Casemiro’s career highlights came against Sevilla in 2018. They are the only Spanish team he has scored two goals against in one game.

This came in a 2-1 victory which saw Real Madrid beat Sevilla to move to the top of the La Liga table.

Casemiro has scored twice in a game in two occasions in his career. One was this win over Sevilla, the other was in Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Reading back in January.

He has been a key player for United since his £60 million move from Real Madrid. Just earlier this week, Real were told it was a mistake to let him go.

Sevilla probably thought they had seen the last of him too. He will be the last player they want to see tonight in the Europa League.
