Liverpool move to next target after Bellingham

Liverpool have held talks with Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch as they plot their midfield recruitment, as per reports.

The Reds’ options in the middle of the park are in major need of a refresh but the club pulled out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham this week. Jurgen Klopp’s side have long been considered one of the likely destinations for the Englishman, but the finances involved have seen them opt to pursue other avenues.

One of which has led them to Bayern’s Dutch star, who has struggled for minutes since moving to the Allianz Arena from Ajax. Gravenberch remains highly though of however and Liverpool are keen to add him to their squad in the coming months.

Predicted Man Utd line-up as Ten Hag faces injury crisis

Erik ten Hag faces a moment of truth on Sunday as he prepares to lead his depleted Manchester United team out at the City Ground.

United have already beaten Nottingham Forest three times this season – once in the league and then in both legs of their Carabao Cup semi-final. A fourth victory might not be so straightforward, though, with injuries robbing Ten Hag of a number of players.

Lisandro Martinez has been ruled out for the season after sustaining an injury towards the end of Thursday’s Europa League draw against Sevilla. With Raphael Varane also failing to see out the game, and Marcus Rashford already sidelined, the former Ajax boss has some decisions to make.

Amad sends Ten Hag fresh reminder

Amad reminded Erik ten Hag why he’s dreaming of playing for Manchester United next season with another spectacular goal in his fruitful loan spell with Sunderland.

The Ivorian wonderkid, 20, has spent the full campaign on Wearside and after a rough patch at the turn of the yearscored his 12th goal in 33 Championship appearances on Saturday as Sunderland kept their play-off hopes alive. Tony Mowbray ‘s men beat Birmingham 2-1 at home, with Amad’s 75th-minute stunner proving the difference.

Receiving the ball on his favoured right flank, the United loanee seamlessly cut inside his marker and rifled a shot into the bottom left-hand corner, sending the Stadium of Light wild. Amad’s heroics came just days after he reaffirmed his desire to succeed back at Old Trafford, with Ten Hag anticipating his return this summer.

Arsenal predicted XI vs West Ham

Arsenal have a chance to stretch their legs at the top of the Premier League as they face West Ham on Sunday afternoon, but they will do so without William Saliba.

The French international has been out of action since March, when he suffered an injury in the Europa League meeting with Sporting CP. He is expected to return to play a part in the run-in, but the trip to the London Stadium comes too early.

Manager Mikel Arteta has a chance to complete a perfect run of London derby results, with his team winning their previous five without conceding a goal. It is also a chance to complete a league double over the Hammers after a come-from-behind 3-1 win on Boxing Day.

HERE is our predicted line-up.
