Premier League transfer news, rumours, Jude Bellingham, Harry Maguire, Manchester United to sell 13 players, latest, gossip, Liverpool

Manchester United is reportedly preparing a massive transfer overhaul in the off-season – and it could see a full 13 players sent packing in a dramatic fire sale.

The Daily Mail claims captain Harry Maguire, who has worn the armband since January 2020, could be headed for the exit door. He has fallen down the pecking order behind World Cup-winning duo Raphael Varane (29) and Lisandro Martinez (25).

Another centre-back in Eric Bailly, 28, appears more certain to depart. The Frenchman has been on loan at Marseille but has struggled this season, and has made 12 league appearances so far – seven short of the 19 matches required to trigger an automatic permanent transfer valued at a reported £5m. The French club appear set on Bailly returning to Manchester – where he’ll likely be punted to another club straight away.

The list of potential departures includes a trio of fullbacks: left-back Alex Telles, on loan at Sevilla in Spain, right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and versatile youngster Brandon Williams.

Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial were also named in the report. But barring Maguire, the most intriguing potential exit would be 20-year-old winger Anthony Elanga, who the report claims has ‘over 12 clubs’ interested in a transfer. His contract runs until June 2026 with an option for a further season.

After falling out of favour under Erik ten Hag earlier this season, the Swedish flyer failed to secure a move in January (either permanent or on loan, with Barcelona, Everton, and Borussia Dortmund all reportedly interested). A significant transfer battle for his services appears set to reignite once the season ends.

Should United manage to offload a number of players – and trim their wage bill – some big arrivals could boost the side. The Red Devils are interested in returning to previous targets in the form of Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, according to The Telegraph.

The Daily Mail says talks have already taken place with Bayer Leverkusen fullback Jeremie Frimpong’s representatives, adding their transfer priorities this upcoming window – in order – is a striker, midfielder, then a centre-back, right-back, and potentially a goalkeeper.

19-year-old England sensation Jude Bellingham has been the topic of one of the most protracted transfer sagas of recent years, with just about every European heavyweight interested in signing the midfield talent.

Liverpool has been touted as the most likely destination for the Borussia Dortmund gun, ahead of Real Madrid or Manchester City.

And Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti’s recent revelation to media that veterans Luka Modric and Tony Kroos are both in negotiations over fresh deals could be a blow to the Spanish club’s hopes.

But German news site Ruhr Nachrichten says Bellingham has “finally” made a decision on his future and will announce his next club soon – except, of course, the report doesn’t hint at which club won the race.

Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell is set to sign a new four-year deal that will lock him in until 2027, per The Athletic. The superstar England full-back’s current deal expires in 2025, with Manchester City reportedly interested in a transfer for the 26-year-old.

Chelsea is reportedly keen to avoid any senior player entering the final 24 months of their contract – an approach that helps to shore up their transfer value.
